Over the past 25 years Hubbell Lighting has not only been the leader in wallpack sales, but the market innovator. Starting in 1981 with the first PVL polycarbonate wallpack featuring vandal resistance, sharp optical prisms, and vertical lamp position for wide 6 to 1 spacing capability, the Perimaliter brand is known as a quality lighting solution. Today we introduce the latest enhancements with a new generation of Perimaliter III. The changes apply to both the PVL3 polycarbonate and the PGM3 glass refractor. Features changes are as follows: • Sockets on units 150watt and below are now medium base.

This major change moves Perimaliter to more standard lamps and increases the lamp to lens distance on the polycarbonate PVL3, reducing potential yellowing.

• The photocontrol hub location has been moved from the side to the top of the casting. This should eliminate fixture cycling issues we have experienced when units are not mounted on smooth surfaces. This ½” hub can also be utilized as a top wiring entrance if desired.

• Housing hinges for the doors have been redesigned and strengthened to reduce potential damage in transit or at installation.

• The fixture fronts, PVL3 polycarbonate and PGM3 glass, are interchangeable with previous models so replacements or upgrades to glass remain simple.

• The rear wiring access is now 1.75” diameter with a rubber sealing grommet. This design conforms to the current UL standard for wiring and inspection. Two ½” side hubs remain for feed through surface conduit.

The large PGL Perimaliter fixture design remains unchanged. However a major wattage change should be noted. To provide longer component and fixture life, we are adding 320 watt & 350 watt pulse start as a standard offering. This reduces the internal fixture ambient temper with 350 watt providing equal light output to 400 watt metal halide while saving 58 watts per hour of energy consumption. We will no longer offer 400 watt metal halide in the PGL family. 400 watt sodium will remain.

Go Green! Go 350watt! The transition will be as follows. Hazardous location PGM2 and PGL (large housing) will remain unchanged. New orders for PVL and PGM will use up existing inventory in Pickering. When Perimaliter II stock has been depleted, products will be rolled over into the PGM3 & PVL3 families. These changes are effective immediately.

There are some minor price changes as a result of the product features stated above, new wattage and lamp offerings and our efforts for more uniform pricing.
